Jamia Ashrafia Peshawar
Markaz Uloom-e-Nabwi ﷺ – Jamia Ashrafia Peshawar is among the oldest Islamic institutions in the city. Established before Pakistan’s creation at Bajuari Gate, it has long served as a source of spiritual guidance. After independence, on April 5, 1953, Sheikh-ul-Islam Hazrat Maulana Abdul Wadood Qureshi (رحمه الله), the spiritual successor of Hakim-ul-Ummat Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (رحمه الله), revived the institution.
For over 72 years, Jamia Ashrafia has continued spreading the light of Islam under the guidance of scholars like Maulana Arshad Ali Qureshi, who prays it remains a source of benefit. Following the example of the Holy Prophet ﷺ on Mount Safa, Jamia Ashrafia uses knowledge and wisdom to spread truth, peace, and the message of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
